The Scream is the popular name of a composition created in 1893 by Norwegian expressionist artist Edvard Munch. The original German title Munch gave to his work was. The Scream of Nature, and the Norwegian title is Skrik (Scream). The tortured face of the painting has become one of the most iconic art images, seen as a symbol of the fear of the human condition.
