The Woman's Haori with White and Red Cranes is a Japanese kimono on display at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. It is a haori (kimono) for women, adorned with a beautiful pattern of white and red cranes in flight. The lining is also decorated with white origami cranes. The kimono is made of pink silk and features a damask woven pattern of cranes. Both the exterior and lining are decorated with painted yuzen designs and gold foil. The family crest (mon) depicts a stylized floral motif, the hanabishi. The artist’s name is unknown, and the piece dates from between 1920 and 1940.
